Pumpkin Bread

Pumpkin bread is just one of those comfort foods we enjoy come autumn. This easy recipe is moist and delicious plain or with a glaze.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can pumpkin puree’ (15 oz.)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. ginger

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease and flour three loaf pans.
  3. Mix together the pumpkin, eggs, oil, water and sugar.
  4. In another bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin combo and mix until fully combined.
  6. Pour batter into pans and bake for approximately 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.

Serving Suggestion: Drizzle top of pumpkin bread loaf with a glaze made with confectioner’s sugar, water and vanilla extract.
