Pumpkin Bread
Pumpkin bread is just one of those comfort foods we enjoy come autumn. This easy recipe is moist and delicious plain or with a glaze.
Ingredients:
- 1 can pumpkin puree’ (15 oz.)
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup water
- 3 cups sugar
- 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- ¼ tsp. ginger
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Grease and flour three loaf pans.
- Mix together the pumpkin, eggs, oil, water and sugar.
- In another bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
- Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin combo and mix until fully combined.
- Pour batter into pans and bake for approximately 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
Serving Suggestion: Drizzle top of pumpkin bread loaf with a glaze made with confectioner’s sugar, water and vanilla extract.
