Giunta’s Grandma Pizza with Sausage

INGREDIENTS:
1 package Brooklyn Bread Pizza Crust
1 package fresh mozzarella
1 12-oz. Can Giunta’s Crushed Tomatoes
6 Sweet Sausage Links
Fresh Basil, chopped
Olive Oil
Garlic, chopped
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper

  • Remove sausage from casing and saute’ in olive oil, chopping the sausage with a spatula as it cooks. Set aside.
  • Sautee chopped garlic in olive oil until golden brown. Add can of crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano. Cook for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Brush crusts with a light coating of olive oil and bake for 8 minutes. Remove crusts from oven.
  • Place slices of fresh mozzarella across crusts. Spoon tomato sauce on top of crust. Sprinkle browned sausage on top of sauce. Sprinkle fresh basil over top.
  • Bake in oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted, sauce is bubbly and crust is browned.

Makes 10 slices of pizza. Buon appetito!
